Walk-In Campsite Trail is a short, easy hike in Cloudland Canyon State Park in northwest Georgia, managed by the State Department of Natural Resources. The trail is about a mile long, with a total climb of about 90 feet, and it starts at roughly 1,789 feet, rising to about 1,849 feet before a small drop at the end. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show October highs around 67°F with lows near 51°F, and May highs around 74°F. That station sits a few hundred feet higher than the trail, so temperatures on the trail may run slightly warmer. Several other trails start close by. Sitton's Gulch Trail is about 0.4 miles away, and the Overlook Trail and West Rim Loop Trail are each about half a mile off. Paddlers can find Sitton Gulch Creek about 1.2 miles away.
