Dicks Creek Falls is a short, easy hike in the Chattooga River Ranger District of the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests in north Georgia, managed by the Forest Service. The trail is 0.38 miles long and rises about 71 feet from a low point of 1,440 feet to a high of 1,525 feet. It is an out-and-back route with a rolling climb, and the steepest stretch comes early on, at about 18% grade. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Long Creek, South Carolina, show October highs around 70°F with lows near 47°F, and April is similar at about 70°F by day and 46°F at night. The station sits at nearly the same elevation as the falls. The Bartram Trail and the Bartram Chattooga Connector both start about 0.3 miles away. Across the state line in South Carolina, Whetstone Horse Camp is about 1.3 miles off, and the Chauga River offers canoeing about 5.4 miles away.
