Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Moultrie show October highs around 78°F with lows near 57°F, and April is similar at about 77°F by day and 54°F at night. Midsummer highs reach about 90°F, and July and August bring the most wet days of the year. Paddlers can pair the hike with time on the water.
