Yellow-Blue Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 1.3 miles from the town of Lydallville. The route is 0.49 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 61 feet and a loss of 80 feet, so it works well as a quick outing or a link between other trails in the area. The trail is flat for most of the way, with the steepest stretch at about 0.28 miles in, where the grade reaches 9 percent. Dogs are allowed on a leash, and bikes are permitted. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Storrs weather station show July highs around 80°F with lows near 63°F, while September cools to highs in the low 70s.
