The Green Fall Loop Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 1.2 miles long with a total elevation gain of 25 feet. It is a point-to-point route, with the low point at 312 feet and the high at 350 feet. The steepest stretch comes early, at about 0.17 miles in, with a grade of 8 percent. The nearest town is Rockville, Rhode Island, about 2.6 miles away. The trail sits close to the Pachaug Trail, which is 0.4 miles off, and the Freeman Trail and Hidden Lake Trail, both about 1.3 miles away. Late spring and early fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Westerly, Rhode Island, show May highs around 67°F and September highs around 74°F, with July the warmest month at about 82°F. Climbers can find the Rockville climbing area about 2.8 miles away, and anglers can head to the Wood River, about 5.2 miles off.
