Bushwack Trail is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 1.7 miles from the town of Rockland. The route is 0.86 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 62 feet, and it is rated easy. The trail is a point-to-point route, and the climb is front-loaded, with the steepest stretch at about 0.19 miles in. The high point is 406 feet, and the low point is 337 feet, so the trail runs roughly flat after the initial rise. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Mt Carmel show May highs around 71°F and September highs around 76°F, with July the warmest month at about 85°F. Goat Lot Trail and Cooper Lot Trail both start about 0.2 miles away, and Pine Trail is about 0.8 miles off. Paddlers can reach the Hammonasset River, about 2.3 miles away.
