Bridal Loop is a short, easy hike in Connecticut, about 1.5 miles from the town of Rockland. The route is 0.79 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 69 feet and a total loss of 96 feet, so it works well as a quick outing or a warm-up before a longer walk. The trail is a point-to-point route, and the steepest stretch comes at about 0.56 miles in, with an 8% grade. Horses are not allowed on this path. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Meriden run to highs around 70°F in May and 75°F in September, with July the warmest month at about 84°F. Several other trails sit close by. Houston Trail is about half a mile away, and Old Crooked Hill and Coan Pond Trail are each about 0.7 miles off. Paddlers can reach the Coginchaug River, roughly 3 miles away.
