Travis is a cross-country ski route on Snow Mountain Ranch in Colorado, managed by a non-governmental organization. The route is about a mile long, with a high point of 8,709 feet and a low of 8,654 feet, and it rises about 22 feet from start to finish. The climb is short, and the steepest stretch comes early, at about 4% grade. Winter is the natural season for this trail. Typical averages from the nearby Fraser weather station show January highs around 31°F with lows near -1°F, while June runs about 72°F by day and 33°F at night. The station sits a few hundred feet lower than the route, so temperatures on the trail run slightly cooler. Two other cross-country ski routes, Cco and Lap Lane, lie about 0.1 mile away. Climbers can head to the Grand County / Fraser Valley area, about 2.5 miles off, and St. Louis Creek Campground is about 5.7 miles away for an overnight stay.
