Magic Meadows Trail is a short, moderate cross-country skiing route in Colorado's Norwood Ranger District, part of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests. The Forest Service manages the land, and the trail is just 0.29 miles long, with a total climb of 48 feet from the low point at 10,708 feet to the high point at 10,766 feet. Winter is the natural season for skiing here. Typical averages from the nearby Silverton weather station, about 13 miles away, show January highs around 34°F with lows near -6°F, while June runs about 70°F by day and 31°F at night. That station sits roughly 1,500 feet lower than the trail, so expect conditions on the trail to run cooler.
