Work and Play Area is a climbing area in Alderfer/Three Sisters Park in Colorado, on county land. It sits among several other climbing spots and trails, so it works well as a stop for a day with multiple objectives. Summer and early fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Evergreen run from highs around 76°F in June to about 73°F in September, with July the warmest at about 81°F. That station sits roughly 640 feet lower than the area, so temperatures on the rock itself run cooler.
