The Saddle is a bouldering area in Colorado's Pikes Peak Ranger District, part of the Pike and San Isabel National Forests. The Forest Service manages the land. It sits among a cluster of named climbing areas, with The Drug Boulder and The Stacks both about 0.1 mile away. The area holds 25 bouldering routes, all within a single bouldering style. Grades run from V0 to V6, with V2 as the median. The simplest is Squatch at V0, first climbed by Alex Hesler, while Daydreamer at V6 is the hardest of the listed routes. Summer brings the most comfortable conditions. A nearby weather station at Ruxton Park records typical July highs around 74°F and lows near 46°F, though it sits a few hundred feet lower than the boulders, so temperatures on the rock run a little cooler. The Ridge Crest hike starts about 0.9 mile away, and the Devil's Kitchen hike is about 1.7 miles off. Lone Duck Family Campground, roughly 1.7 miles away, offers a place to stay, and Homestake Fishing Site is about 3.1 miles out.
