The Outback is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land in the Grand Junction Field Office in western Colorado. It sits within the BLM's Grand Junction Field Office, and the nearest town is Grand Junction. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 76°F, while July averages about 88°F and winter highs hover near 39°F. That station sits roughly 1,260 feet lower than the Outback, so temperatures here run cooler. Several climbing areas lie right next door, including Main Wall, Playground and Sticks and Dicks Tower, all about 0.1 mile away. Main Trail is about 0.8 mile off for a hike.
