Upper Mother's Buttress is a climbing area in Colorado, about 13 miles from the town of Kannah. It sits alongside several other named climbing spots, which makes it easy to pair with other objectives in the area. Late spring and early fall tend to be the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Glade Park show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 76°F, with July peaking near 88°F and winter highs in the upper 30s. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet lower, so temperatures at the buttress run cooler. Middle Mother's and Lower Mother's Buttress are each about a tenth of a mile away, and Washout, The is just as close. For a walk, the Main Trail starts about half a mile off.
