New Mexico Boulder is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land in the Grand Junction Field Office, about 7 miles from Grand Junction, Colorado. It sits among a cluster of bouldering and mountain biking spots, so it works well as a stop on a day spent exploring the surrounding area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Grand Junction show May highs around 77°F and October highs around 67°F, while July averages climb to about 95°F.
