D-Shacks Cliffband is a climbing area in western Colorado, about 1.7 miles from the town of Rosevale. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots and trails, so it works well as a stop in a day of exploring the surrounding rock and paths. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Grand Junction show May highs around 77°F and October highs around 67°F, while July averages climb to about 95°F. Dynamite Cliff Band, Easy Block and Hobo Castle Area all lie about 0.1 mile away, and the Hand Crank Trail is just as close. For a longer outing, the Tabeguache Trail (Lunch Loops) is about 0.2 mile off.
