Militant Whale Boulder is a bouldering area in Colorado's Pike and San Isabel National Forests, within the South Platte Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land, and the site sits among several other bouldering areas, with The Other Side and Gumbi Boulder each about 0.1 mile away. The bouldering here is all on the boulder style, and the routes range from V0 to V3. Damien Ternes first climbed several of them, including Minnow at V0 and Whale of a Fish at V2-3, while Squish climbed Fish Story at V3. That makes this a compact spot for climbers looking at boulders of moderate difficulty. For time off the rock, the Tornado Alley Trail 679.b is about 1.5 miles away, and the Devils Head Campground is about 4 miles off. Flat Rocks Campground and the paddling on Horse Creek are both within roughly 8 miles.
