The Land of Slabs is a bouldering area on county land within Alderfer/Three Sisters Park in Colorado, about half a mile from Troutdale. The surrounding area is packed with climbing and hiking, with The Highball Wall, The Pass and Energy Crag all within a tenth of a mile. The park's own trails make it easy to pair a climb with a walk. Sisters Trail and Ponderosa Trail start close by, and Bearberry Trail is just beyond. Bear Creek, about a mile away, offers canoeing. The area is a bouldering destination. Fourteen routes are listed, all on the V scale, ranging from V0- to V7, with V1+ as the median. Among the named routes are Slim Jim at V4 and (1+1) or (2+2) A.K.A. Roller Ball at V7. The most comfortable months are typically June through September. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Evergreen show July highs around 81°F and September highs around 73°F. The station sits roughly 700 feet below the park.
