Hell's Gate/Hagerman Pass is a climbing area in the Sopris Ranger District of White River National Forest in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing and hiking destinations, with Tiger Cliff and Main Wall both about 2 miles away. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Climax weather station show July highs around 67°F with lows near 40°F, while winter brings highs in the mid-20s and frequent snow days from December through February. Lyle Lake is about a mile away, and Lily Pad Lake is a little over 2 miles off. For an overnight stay, May Queen campground is about 4 miles away, and the Fryingpan River offers canoeing roughly 4 miles from the pass.
