Fissionary Block is a bouldering area on Bureau of Land Management land in Colorado's Grand Junction Field Office, about 10 miles from the town of Grand Junction. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Rising Sun Area and Breaker Boulder each about 0.1 mile away and Hotdish Rock about 0.2 mile off. The area is a bouldering destination, with six routes all rated on the V scale from V0 to V4. The easiest is Offensive Food at V0, and the hardest is This Thusness at V4. The routes are all boulders, so there is no climbing on rock faces here. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 74°F and October highs around 66°F, while July averages about 93°F and January highs sit near 39°F. The Tabeguache Trail and a mountain bike trail near East Creek in Unaweep Canyon are both about 0.6 mile away. KOA Holiday campground is about 9 miles off.
