Far Right is a climbing area in the Columbine Ranger District of the San Juan National Forest in southwest Colorado, a few miles from Durango. The Forest Service manages the land, and the crag sits in a tight cluster of climbing areas close to Junction Creek. For comfortable conditions, aim for late spring or early fall. Typical averages from the nearby Durango weather station show September highs around 76°F with lows near 44°F, while July and August bring the most wet days. The station sits about 400 feet lower than the crag, so expect it to run slightly cooler there. Other climbing is close at hand: Central Portion and Ciao Bella! are each about 0.1 mile away. The Colorado Trail - TH to Gudys mountain bike route starts about 0.1 mile away, and Junction Creek Campground is roughly 0.3 mile off, making it a convenient base.
