Exemplar Tower is a climbing area in the Pikes Peak Ranger District of the Pike and San Isabel National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among several other climbing spots and trails, making it an easy addition to a day of exploring this corner of the forest. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Monument put July highs around 84°F with lows near 53°F, and September is milder with highs around 75°F. That station sits well below the tower, so temperatures at the climbing area run cooler. Eagle's Peak and Punishment Wall are both about 0.1 mile away, and Eagle's Peak Trail is 0.5 mile off. Stanley Canyon, a mountain biking area, is about 0.9 mile away.
