Congo is a climbing area in Colorado, about a mile from the town of Plainview. It sits right next to two other climbing areas, Tribal Boundaries, The Sacret Block and Main Wall, both about 0.1 mile away, so it works well as a base for exploring the cluster of boulders and walls in this corner of the state. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 79°F with lows near 50°F, while winter highs stay in the low 40s. For a change from climbing, the Mickey Mouse Trail and Spring Brook Loop North Trail are both about 1.5 miles away. Sourdough Springs Campground, roughly 5 miles off, offers a place to stay, and South Boulder Creek, about 7 miles away, is an option for paddling.
