Chiefshead Northwest Face is a climbing area in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, within the Rocky Mountain National Park Wilderness. The National Park Service manages the land, and the area sits right next to the Chiefshead climbing area, about 0.1 mile away, with the Chiefshead South Face about 0.3 mile off. The face holds five alpine-style routes, with grades ranging from 5.7 to 5.11a. The Central Rib is the easiest at 5.7, and Birds of Fire is the hardest at 5.11a. 7 Arrows, a 5.10b, was first climbed by Fowler and Harlin Jr. in 1980, and Flight of the Kiwi, a 5.10+, was done by Blake Herrington and Graham Zimmerman in 2010. A fee is charged for climbing here. Thunder Lake Trail and the Box-Eagle Lakes Route are both about 2 miles away. Glacier Creek, a canoeing spot, is about 4.8 miles off, and Rocky Mountain National Park Glacier Basin Campground is about 6.1 miles away.
