Balance Boulder is a climbing area in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado. The Forest Service manages the surrounding land. Summer is the most comfortable time to climb here. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show July highs around 74°F with lows near 43°F. Expect more wet days in July and August than in the rest of the season, and highs only in the mid-60s by September. Several other climbing spots are close by. Warm-up Boulder is about 1.4 miles away, and South Ridge and Orange Wall are each roughly 1.6 miles away. Sleeping Elephant Campground, also about 1.6 miles away, offers a nearby place to stay.
