Skyline Loop is a short, looping mountain biking route in Ridgway State Park in Colorado, managed by State Fish and Wildlife. The loop is about 0.4 miles long, with a total elevation gain of 54 feet and a total loss of 109 feet. The high point is 7092 feet, and the low point is 7025 feet, so the ride stays within a narrow range of about 7000 feet. The route is a loop, and the steepest part comes at about 0.31 miles, with a grade of 11 percent. The start sits at 7089 feet, so the climb is minimal, and the descent is a little longer. For comfortable weather, late spring and early fall are the best bets. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Ridgway show May highs around 70°F and September highs around 76°F, with July and August the warmest months at about 85°F.
