Tenderfoot Trail is a 3.6-mile mountain biking route in the Hahns Peak-Bears Ears Ranger District of Colorado's Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest, managed by the Forest Service. The climb starts at about 8,640 feet and reaches a high point of 9,058 feet, with a total elevation gain of 1,034 feet and a total loss of 1,534 feet. That makes the trail a longer outing with a descent to finish. Summer is the most comfortable time to ride. Typical averages from the nearby Spicer, Colorado weather station put July highs around 77°F with lows near 42°F, and the trail sits a few hundred feet higher than the station, so expect it to run a little cooler. Several other trails sit right alongside. Raw Hide Trail is about 0.1 mile away and Zig Zag about 0.2 mile. Blob Rock, a climbing area, lies about 1.7 miles off, and Granite Campground is about 5 miles away for an overnight stay.
