Windy Point is an out-and-back hike of about 3.6 miles on natural-surface trails in the Dillon Ranger District of White River National Forest, near the town of Frisco in Colorado. The route rises about 35 feet from a low point of 9,023 feet to a high of 9,158 feet, making it a short, moderate outing. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. A nearby weather station at Dillon records typical July highs around 75°F with lows near 38°F, while winter highs typically hover around 31°F in January. The trail is open year round, and the parking for the trip is at the Prospector Bouldering Trailhead. Bikes and horses are both allowed. Swan Mountain Road and Prospector Bouldering both lie about 0.2 miles away, and Prospector Campground and Lowry Campground are within half a mile.
