North Lone Pine is a 9.6-mile out-and-back hike in the Canyon Lakes Ranger District of the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises from about 9,359 feet to about 10,689 feet, with an elevation gain of 1,184 feet. The route is rated moderate and has a natural surface. Bikes and horses are both allowed, making it a practical choice for riders and pack animals alike. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical July averages from a nearby weather station run around 74°F for highs and 43°F for lows, and the station sits roughly 1,170 feet below the trail's high point, so temperatures on the ridge run cooler. Winters are cold, with typical January highs near 31°F. Nearby options include the Cabin Creek and Pearl Creek hikes, both within about 2 miles, and North Fork Poudre Campground, about 2 miles away. Creedmore Lake Fishing Site is roughly 4.8 miles off.
