Boatramp Switchback is an easy, out-and-back hike of about 1.1 miles in the Dillon Ranger District of White River National Forest in Colorado, managed by the Forest Service. The trail rises about 178 feet from a low point of 9,032 feet to a high of 9,210 feet. The route is natural-surfaced and open to both horses and bikes. It makes a short, low-effort outing, and the climb is gentle enough to fit easily into a day spent exploring the surrounding area. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Dillon put July highs around 75°F with lows near 38°F, while winter highs stay in the low 30s. Pine Cove Campground and the Olympian's Link cross-country ski trail sit about 0.1 mile away, and Dillon Reservoir is about a mile off. Climbers can head to Swan Mountain Road, roughly 1.9 miles away.
