South Fork Campground is a Forest Service campground in the Blanco Ranger District of Colorado's White River National Forest. It sits in the high country, and the nearest town is Meeker, about 22 miles away. Vault toilets are the only facility listed, and a fee is charged for stays. The campground makes a base for exploring the surrounding trails, which start within a mile of the site. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Meeker show July highs around 87°F with lows near 50°F, while September cools to highs in the mid-70s. That station sits about 1,200 feet lower than the campground, so temperatures at the camp run cooler. South Fork Bridge and Spring Cave are both within a third of a mile, and Cliff Lakes and Fowler Bench are about 0.7 miles away. Meadow Lake Campground is roughly 3.5 miles off.
