Hinman Park Campground is a Forest Service site in the Hahns Peak-Bears Ears Ranger District of the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest in Colorado. It sits within the national forest's boundary, and the Forest Service manages the land. The site has vault toilets, and a fee is charged. There are no other facilities listed. It works well as a base for a short outing in the surrounding area. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Steamboat Springs weather station show July highs around 83°F with lows near 46°F, and June and August run similarly warm. Winters are cold, with January highs near 29°F. Several trails and climbing areas lie within a mile.
