San Buenaventura State Beach

San Buenaventura State Beach is a 98-acre state park in California, about 1.4 miles from the town of San Buenaventura (Ventura). The land is managed by the state park agency. The weather here stays mild year-round. Late summer into early fall is the warmest stretch, with typical highs around 74°F and lows near 60°F in August and September, based on averages from a nearby weather station in Oxnard. Winter brings highs in the mid-60s and about six wet days a month. Several trails lie within a few miles. Ventura Botanical Gardens Trail is about 1.5 miles away, Barlow Canyon Trail about 2.4 miles, and Brock Linear Park Path about 2.7 miles. Paddlers can head to the Ventura River, roughly 8 miles off.
