Wailing Sax Wall is a climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park in California, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots and campgrounds, so it makes an easy addition to a longer day of bouldering or hiking in the park's southeast corner. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Yucca Valley show April highs around 73°F and October highs around 80°F, with winter lows near 38°F and summer highs climbing into the mid-90s. A fee is charged for activities here, as noted in the park's fee records. That covers the general park visit rather than a specific charge for this spot alone, and it may vary depending on your planned stay. Group Campsite 3 and Sheep Pass Group are both about 0.1 mile away, and Sheep Pass Group CG Area is a similar distance. The Sheep Pass Connector Trail lies about 0.9 mile off, and Ryan Mountain Trailhead is about a mile away.
