Toxic Waste Wall is a climbing area in the Santa Barbara Ranger District of Los Padres National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits just 0.1 mile from Upper Gibraltar and Gibraltar Rock, so it pairs easily with those two climbing areas in one visit. The area's six routes run from 5.8 to 5.10c. Four are sport routes and two are trad. Sport climbers can pick up Two Stone Wipe (5.9-) or Wasted Effort (5.10c), and trad climbers have Stimpy on Crack (5.8) and Hazardous Waste (5.10a). Most of the routes were established in the early 1990s. Spring and fall bring the most comfortable conditions. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Gibraltar Dam show April highs around 76°F and October highs around 83°F. That station sits roughly 1,100 feet lower than the wall, so temperatures up high run cooler. Nearby, West Fork Cold Spring and the Rattlesnake Connector Trail are both under a mile away. Upper Oso Campground is about 7 miles off, and Sage Hill offers saltwater fishing about 8 miles away.
