Debra is a bouldering area in the Santa Barbara Ranger District of Los Padres National Forest in California, about 30 miles from the town of Santa Barbara. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with the Morning Glory and Jacked and Tan areas each about 0.1 mile away. The climbing here is all bouldering, and the routes run from the low end of the V scale up to V11+. The 11 routes include Corridor Face at V1-2, Courtyard Slab at V1, and the Neon Genesis Project at V11+. The hardest problems are clearly marked as projects, so plan on time for both the easier and the more challenging. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 71°F and October highs around 78°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. That station sits well below the boulders, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. For a longer outing, the Tunnel Connector and Rock Garden Trail hikes are each about a mile away. Upper Oso Campground, roughly 6 miles off, offers a place to stay.
