Target Rock's SW Face is a climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park, within the Joshua Tree Wilderness, on land managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of named climbing areas, with Target Rock's N. Face about 0.1 mile away and Conrad Rock and Split Personality Rock similarly close. A fee is charged for activities here, according to the National Park Service. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the Yucca Valley weather station, about 17 miles away, show April highs near 73°F and October highs near 80°F, while July and August average around 96°F. Ryan Ranch Trailhead lies about 0.6 mile away, and Ryan Mountain Trailhead is about a mile off. Sheep Pass Group campground is roughly 1.6 miles away.
