Secrets of the Beehive Area is a bouldering area in California's Inyo National Forest, within the White Mountain Ranger District. It sits on city land, and the Beehive Area and Luminance Block climbing areas both lie about 0.1 mile away, making this a cluster of bouldering spots rather than a single route. The climbing here is all bouldering, with six routes spread across the V0 to V9 range. The easiest are Natural Melody at V0 and The Flake Crack at V0-1, while Queen Sweet Nectar is the hardest at V9. Secrets of the Beehive is a route of the same name at V6. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the Huntington Lake weather station, about 36 miles away, show July and August highs around 74°F with lows near 49°F and only one or two wet days a month. Winter is much colder, with January highs around 43°F and lows near 24°F. Horton Creek Campground is about 3 miles away, and the Horton Lakes hike is about 3.2 miles off. Bitterbrush Campground and Bishop Creek, a paddling spot, are both about 3.6 miles away.
