Downstream is a climbing area on the Millerton Lake land unit in California, managed by the Bureau of Reclamation. It sits right next to the San Joaquin River Gorge, about 0.1 mile away, and the Pa'san Ridge Trail, also about 0.1 mile off, making it easy to pair with a hike or another climb in the gorge. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station at Friant Government Camp show April highs around 73°F and October highs around 80°F, while July and August average near 99°F. Equestrian Campground and Aholul Group Campground are both within half a mile, so there's camping close by. The Bridge Trail is about 0.6 mile away.
