Rocky Point is a climbing area in California on Bureau of Land Management land within the Barstow Field Office. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Wedge Boulder just 0.1 mile away and Fairview Mountain and Box Boulder within a mile. The area has 16 routes, with sport climbing making up the bulk of them. The grades run from 5.8 up to 5.11d, and the hardest route is the sport climb Roof Route. Among the trad options are Evans Crack at 5.8 and Battey Crack at 5.10a/b. There's also a bouldering route, with the V2 grade. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Victorville weather station show April highs around 73°F and October highs around 79°F, while July and August average in the upper 90s. For more climbing, Fairview Mountain and Box Boulder are close by. Farly Mine Trail is about 5 miles away for a hike, and Sawtooth Canyon Campground is roughly 10 miles off.
