Fairview Mountain is a climbing area on Bureau of Land Management land within the Barstow Field Office in California. The surrounding area is a cluster of named climbing spots, with Alf Rock, Dark Cluster and Conspiracy Wall all about half a mile away. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Victorville weather station show April highs around 73°F and October highs around 79°F, while July and August average in the upper 90s. That station sits about 900 feet lower than the mountain, so temperatures up high run cooler. For a change from climbing, the Farly Mine Trail is about 5.6 miles away, and the Bass Hill Trail and Sorrel Trail are both within about 7 miles.
