Roads End is a bouldering area in Kings Canyon National Park in California, managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of trails and climbing spots, with the Lower Copper Creek Switchbacks and the Cedar Grove Roads End - Sand Flats Stock hike both about 0.1 mile away, and the Copper Creek hike at a similar distance. The climbing here is all bouldering, with five routes listed. The grades run from V0 to V1, and the names include Wet Dreamz, East Coast and West Coast. The routes are short and sit close together, so the area works well for a quick session rather than a long day on the rock. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Independence, which sits about 1,100 feet lower, show April highs around 76°F and October highs around 81°F, while July and August average in the low 100s. North Beach, a climbing area about 0.2 mile away, and Zumwalt Meadows North, about 0.3 mile away, are the closest other climbing. For an overnight stay, Canyon View Group Sites is about 4.6 miles off, and the South Fork Kings River offers paddling about 4.9 miles away.
