Pump Rock is a bouldering area in Stoney Point Park, a city-managed park in California. It sits among a cluster of other climbing spots, with Jam Rock, Boulder 1 and Slant Rock all within about a tenth of a mile. The boulders here are the focus. Six routes are listed, all bouldering, and most sit around the V0 and V1 levels on the V scale, with the Pump Traverse at V1 being the highest of them. North Face Mantle and Slump Arete are two of the V0 routes. The YDS grade is 5.8- for one of the boulders, so climbers can expect to work within the 5.8 to V1 range across the area. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. At a nearby weather station in Northridge, typical averages run to highs around 75°F in April and 82°F in October, with summer highs climbing into the low 90s. The station sits at 904 feet, and the park's elevation is similar, so expect the same general pattern across the climbing area.
