Carousel Rock is a bouldering area in Stoney Point Park, a city-managed park in California. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Canyon Boulders, Nabisco Canyon and Mozart's Wall all about 0.1 mile away. The park's city ownership makes it an easy stop for climbers already exploring the surrounding area. The climbing here is all bouldering, with 12 routes spread across the V0 to V8 range. The easiest are Center Route and South West Corner at V0, and the hardest is Night Train at V8, first climbed by Michael Reardon and Tom Bristow. The North Face route sits at V5. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show April highs around 75°F and October highs around 82°F, while July and August average in the low 90s. For more time on the rock, Canyon Boulders and Nabisco Canyon are right next door. The Mattingly Trail and Santa Susana Pass Trail are both about a mile away for a hike.
