Lower Cliffs, Lower Tier is a climbing area in the Yuba River Ranger District of Tahoe National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing tiers, with Lower Cliffs, Middle Tier and Lower Cliffs, Upper Tier each about 0.1 mile away. Summer is the most comfortable time to visit. Typical averages from the nearby Lake Spaulding weather station, at a similar elevation, run to highs around 82°F in July and August with lows in the upper 40s, while winter highs sit in the low to mid 40s.
