Holcomb Valley Bouldering is a bouldering area in California's San Bernardino National Forest, within the Mountaintop Ranger District. The Forest Service manages the land. The bouldering sits alongside two other climbing areas, Prowler Rocks and Camp Rock, each about 0.1 mile away, making it easy to pair with them in a single outing. The three named routes here are all boulders. The Mighty Millimeter is V1, Overhung Route 1 is V2-3, and Overhung Route 2 is V3-4, so the area offers a range of grades for climbers of different abilities. Summer is the most comfortable time to go. Typical averages from the nearby Big Bear Lake weather station run from highs near 75°F in June to about 80°F in July, with July and August lows around 50°F. That station sits about 740 feet lower than the bouldering, so temperatures at the rock run cooler. Nearby options include Tanglewood Group Camp at 1.2 miles and Van Dusen Canyon Spur at 1.4 miles. Holcomb Valley Ranch offers camping at 2.1 miles, and Big Bear Lake Recreation Area, about 3.4 miles away, has lake fishing.
