The Habanero is a climbing area in Joshua Tree National Park, within the Joshua Tree Wilderness, on land managed by the National Park Service. It sits among a cluster of named climbing spots, and a fee is charged to visit. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Yucca Valley show April highs around 73°F with lows near 46°F, and October highs around 80°F with lows near 50°F. That station sits well below the wilderness, so temperatures up high run cooler. The Separate Boulders and Mullet Bloc are each about 0.1 mile away, and the Larry Flynt Memorial Boulder and Boogie Nights are about 0.2 mile off. For hiking, the Queen Valley Trail is about 0.9 mile away, and Sheep Pass Group campground is about 3.3 miles away.
