Fraggle Rock is a climbing area within Joshua Tree National Park in California's Joshua Tree Wilderness, managed by the National Park Service. The surrounding land is designated wilderness, and the park itself sets the boundaries. A fee is charged for visits. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Yucca Valley show April highs around 73°F with lows near 46°F, and October highs near 80°F with lows around 50°F. That station sits well below the wilderness, so temperatures at Fraggle Rock run cooler. Several other climbing areas sit close by, including Desert Queen Dome and Morongo Man Cliffs, each about 0.3 miles away, and Queen Crimson Dome about 0.4 miles away. For a hike, the Desert Queen Mine Trail is about 0.9 miles off.
