Fairview Dome is a climbing area in Yosemite National Park, within the Yosemite Wilderness, on land managed by the National Park Service. It sits in the high country of the park's eastern side, about 3 miles from Tuolumne Meadows. The most comfortable months for a visit are July and August, when typical averages from a nearby weather station at Tuolumne Meadows run to highs around 70°F and lows in the upper 30s. That station sits a few hundred feet lower than the dome, so temperatures on the dome run a little cooler. The North Face and West Face climbing areas are each about 0.2 miles away, and the Budd Lake Trail starts within a mile. Tuolumne Meadows Campground, about 2.3 miles off, is the closest place to camp.
