Diamond Face is a climbing area on city land in California, about 0.1 mile from the Diamondback Area and the Kidding Area. The two climbing areas sit right next to each other, making it easy to pair them on a single visit. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to go. Typical averages from a nearby weather station in Bishop show April highs around 74°F and October highs around 78°F, while July and August average about 100°F. That station sits roughly 1,000 feet lower than the climbing area, so temperatures up here run cooler.
