Santa Barbara is a climbing area in the Santa Barbara Ranger District of Los Padres National Forest in California, managed by the Forest Service. It sits among a cluster of climbing spots, with Wall 2 and Wall 5 both about 0.4 miles away. The climbing here is trad, with a few mixed routes, and the grades run from 5.7 up to 5.11a/b. Wind Beneath Her Wings is a 5.7 trad route, and Swift Trip is the hardest at 5.11a/b. Grunt Work is a mixed route at 5.10. Spring and fall are the most comfortable times to visit. Typical averages from a nearby weather station show May highs around 80°F and October highs around 83°F, while July and August average in the mid-90s. That station sits well below the area, so temperatures on the rock run cooler. The Tunnel Connector and Rock Garden Trail are both about half a mile away.
